Before you have a baby, it’s pretty common to think that buying a bib is easy as pie. Then, in what seems like no time, they start eating solids and everything changes. Let’s get one thing straight: all those cute little cotton bibs you bought are absolutely useless once your baby starts eating solid food. Just keep those for when your baby drools.
Thankfully, we’ve tried every bib under the sun for our kids, and we’re here to help you choose the right one for your baby by breaking down the positives and negatives of some of the best baby bibs out on the market today. If you have any that you love that we haven’t mentioned, please leave them in the comments below!
Positives: It is BPA-Free, waterproof, soft, lightweight, durable, and easy to clean! The reason we love this one is because it has an adjustable area around the neck, so you can make it tighter or looser, depending on what’s most comfortable for your baby. Another great thing about this bib is the silicone pocket. Food drops there instead of getting on your baby, which is always a plus!
Negatives: Some might think the material is a little rough and heavy for baby’s delicate skin.
Price: $9.99
Positives: This waterproof sleeved bib is a genius inventions. We all know how messy things get when baby is eating solids and who wants to change their baby after every meal? We sure don’t! That’s why this sleeved bib is a lifesaver.
Negatives: Only thing is you need to get your baby used to it when you intro them to solids because if you intro them to it when they are toddlers they will not like it!
Price: $12.95
Positives: This bib is super soft and has a convenient silicone pocket to catch food when it drops.
Negatives: This bib is hooked with Velcro, and a lot of the time you can’t get it tight enough for food not to get on your baby’s neck and when you use it too much the velcro just stops working. It can get a bit messy.

Positives: It’s made of BPA-free silicone that's free of harsh chemicals and silky soft on your baby's sensitive skin. This bib is actually one of our favorites because even though it’s silicone all around, it’s REALLY soft and won’t make your baby uncomfortable. It also has adjustable straps in the back, so you can adjust accordingly. The pocket also stands in place where food can go in versus falling out.
Negatives: It’s on the pricier side.
Price: $20
Positives: This bib is ergonomically designed to fit your child perfectly and is BPA-free!
Negatives: The design of the neck portion of this bib can make it uncomfortable for your baby to wear and can actually leave red marks on his or her neck. Definitely a pass in our book!
Price: $12.99
Positives: It’s very similar to the Kushies bib and the silicone pocket is large enough to catch any stray morsels of food that miss your baby’s mouth.
Negatives: We really don’t have any negative things to say about this product!
